The company was established in 1986 in London by Janusz Szczerek – the owner and cameraman / director of photography. Since 2003 Shooting Box has been operating from Malaga and provides services in Spain, UK and worldwide. The office is based in the heart of Historic Centre in Malaga, behind the Picasso’s Birthplace House at Plaza de la Merced.

Janusz has over 20 years of experience and has worked as a cameraman and DOP for over 200 clients including major broadcasters, production companies and big corporate businesses world-wide. His camerawork includes over 1000 credits comprising numerous documentaries, features, corporate videos, pop promos, commercials and dramas.

He came to England in 1982 from Poland where he graduated from the Polish Film School (PWSFTViT) in Lodz with an MA in Cinematography. He started his career in Poland as a film and video artist and after moving to London he made several avant-garde films, videos and live performances.
