The company was established in 1986 in London by Janusz Szczerek – the owner and a director of photography. Since 2003 Shooting Box has been operating from Malaga and provides services in both, Spain and UK. The Spanish office is based in the heart of Historic Centre in Malaga, behind the Picasso’s Birthplace House at Plaza de la Merced

Janusz Szczerek has over 20 years of experience and has worked for all major broadcasters, production companies and big corporate businesses world-wide. His camerawork includes news, documentaries, features, corporate videos, pop promos, commercials and dramas.

He was born and educated in Poland where he graduated from the Polish Film School (PWSFTViT) in Lodz with an MA diploma in Cinematography. He started his career as a film and video artist and after moving to London in 1982 he made several avant-garde films, videos and live performances.
